Visitors can be good medicine for patients, and family members and friends are welcome to visit. However, patient care is our primary concern at Walker Baptist and in order to enhance the quality of our care, specific visiting hours and regulations have been established. If you need additional information, just check with the nurse on the unit.
Intensive Care Visiting Hours
9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. Each visiting session is for 30 minutes.
Delivering mothers may have two guests, or the father plus one in the room during the labor and delivery process. No children are allowed in the Labor and Delivery area until after the delivery is complete.
Father's are encouraged to visit anytime. Siblings are allowed to visit only if accompanied by and adult. One to two visitors at a time are allowed for ten minutes. Visitors are asked to remain in the waiting area until it is time to enter your room.
The hospital gift shop is located on the ground floor in the lobby. Snacks, magazines, balloons, flowers, jewelry and other gift items are sold in the shop, which is operated by Walker Baptist Volunteer Auxiliary. All proceeds from the gift shop go to the fund hospital projects and programs that are supported by the auxiliary.
The gift shop is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m., Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Parking is free and conveniently located in the front of the hospital. Visitor parking for patients in Orthopedics and One Day Surgery, as well as outpatient services is located in the Professional Office Building parking lot next to the hospital.
Handicapped parking spaces and ramps are located in the front of the hospital and in the Professional Office Building parking lot.
